These are patterns I found where we are staying at Takayama.
One was taken in the lift and the hall carpet and another one is from a large mat in the main lounge.
It seems inspiration for quilts can be found everywhere.
Absolutely....all the old ceramic tile verandah's..another quilt top in the making...the "Caroline Simpson Museum" in Sydney has all the old designs available to the public to access...must go back and do something about creating a quilt from one of the designs...
